National Moon Day is observed annually on July 20 and commemorates the day man first walked on the moon in 1969.
This is my favourite image because it depicts the still life of the ground representing the 'moon' which is focused in the foreground of the photo. I also like the effect of the macro focus because it captures the smallest, most intimate details of the gravel on the ground giving it a more legitimate look resembling the moons craters. There are more obvious details to this photo such as colour; the 'moon' is a greyish colour while the 'earth' (the background) consists of blues and greens.
